Not All Lymphatic Experiences Are Equal, you deserve more…

LYMPHATIC / LYMPHEDEMA THERAPY

If you’re considering lymphatic therapy, however, are still unsure what it looks like and if it resonates, please consider viewing my recently published ebook available online. It breaks it all down and offers case studies that most likely relate to what you’re feeling and wondering if there is a connection. It’s a quick read, yet deeply insightful with simple case studies that you’ll probably relate to and think, “Finally, yes! that is what I am experiencing.”

“Lymph work is not cupping, it is not lipomassage, it is not limited to light touch stimulation, dry brushing, swedish massage, infrared sauna, nor rebounding. However, many of these can stimulate improved natural lymph drainage. In more serious body dynamics, however, they can cause more inflammation and a heightened threat of infection, if you truly have clinical lymphedema or a high level of edema associated with surgery or acute infection. ”

WHAT SHOULD A SESSION OF LYMPHATIC LOOK LIKE?

LYMPHATIC goes deep and superficial, without forcing change upon the tissues and its interstitial fluid. Although we do work deep for the deep nodes, and more gently for the superficial nodes, the technique is organic. Once the body acclimates to the process, which is usually fast, the process feels “right”. Please note that deep work without lymph training can actually cause damage to the tissues and further inflammation/ increased edema. For those clients with more serious conditions, this can put them at risk for infection.

Training in the lymphatic specialty is not yet regulated. Please be mindful when seeking such treatment as many "certification" programs are offered to therapists at very different levels of expertise. If you have a serious lymphedema or acute lymphatic issue going on it is best to ask the therapist about their training program and hours / years' experience. This tends to offer immediate and tangible shifts in the body. If you are not seeing any, then you may need to look deeper into your issue and/ or a therapist with more lymphatic experience and training.
